(Spriteworks Developments
is not hiring at this time)
We are currently looking for responsible, honest
individuals with experience in HTML, CSS, Javascript. DHTML & Perl.
Promptness and mature disposition are pluses. Your responsibilities will
include working on a variety of programming projects such as writing javascript
forms, custom scripts, etc. Each day, we will send you a "case-load" to work
on for that day which must be sent back to us at the end of the day for our
inspection and so that we can provide input, request changes, etc.
This is a full-time position and you will be working as an independent contractor
on our behalf. While we offer full-time work, please understand that there
may be brief periods of inactivity between individual assignments. Most projects
take anywhere from a week to a month and the work environment is casual and
laid-back (you work from home on your own computer).
The amount you are paid largely depends on your
level of experience. We like to pay by piece-work (ie; "by-the-script" or
"by-the-page") but this is something that can be discussed before work commences.
All payments are made by regular money order and are sent to you upon request
regardless of the amount accumulated. We also provide you with a scanned
copy of the money order by email on the same day it is sent out (for your
records). We also keep a copy for our records.
Prior to any work being done on our behalf, we
do require a copyright waiver stating that while a particular project is
being worked on and once it has been completed, we will own any and all rights
to it and that it may not be featured anywhere else in whole, modified or
in part (which is only fair since this is what we are paying you for). The
copyright waiver will be sent to you by email and only takes a few minutes
to fill out and send back to us (simply hit "reply"). You must be over the
age of 18 and live in the U.S. to be employed by us (for income tax
purposes).
We frequently receive emails from people offering
to work for "free" or in return for credits or advertising. While we truly
do appreciate the offers we would rather pay you for any work done
on our behalf. Past experience has taught us that a paid employee is considerably
more motivated and likely to do a better job than one who is simply doing
the work for "something to do" or as a way to polish up on his or her
skills.
If your interested, please use
this form and tell us a little about
yourself, your skills and abilities, desired pay, etc (do not include
any personal information such as your phone, social security or credit card
numbers!). We will review your information and get back to you within 24
hours (but usually within an hour or two). If you meet our requirements,
we will then send you information on the current project. Finally, after
you have reviewed the specifications for the current project and wish
to work on it, we will send you a copyright waiver (by email) which will
need to be filled out and signed. Once you reply to this email and send it
back to us, the process will be complete and we will send you your work
assignment (by email).
