(May 16, 2008) A number of routine updates have been made to the site and more updates will soon follow.
(Nov 6, 2006) For some unknown reason at least
40 of our Sound Effects Library files were either misnamed or completely
missing (some had tildes or underscores). This means that if you clicked
on a particular file, you may not have been able to preview or even download
it. No clue as to what may have caused this. Anyway, we have just corrected
the problem and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Also,
our Helpdesk has been receiving 100's of spams each day and a lot of legitimate
customer tickets have no-doubt been lost in the process so we just recently
switched to a much more advance and feature rich Helpdesk solution. Hopefully
this will allow us to serve our customers more efficiently!.
(Jul 7, 2006) Spriteworks Developments has just
released six additional CSS Widgets. In addition to this, the online purchasing
process has been completely automated so that now you can purchase any product
and then download it instantly. Finally, live support has been added. Other
improvements will follow as this updating cycle continues.
(Feb 6, 2006) Spriteworks Developments is pleased
to announce the release of 12 new CSS Widgets. Also, a number of changes
and improvements have been made to the downloadable CSS Widget demos as well
as the site itself.
(Nov 2, 2005) Over the past month or so, many
of our visitors wrote in and told us that the static screenshots of our CSS
Widgets was just was not "doing it" for them and that they wanted to see
the scripts in action. We obediently listened and created Flash demonstrations
for each of our CSS Widgets while still preserving the older static screenshots
for those using older browsers. We also updated the FAQ pages for each of
the CSS Widgets. We are currently in the process of creating two and three-tiered
hierarchical menus (both vertical and horizontal) since we have been receiving
many requests for them.
(Feb 16, 2005) Two additional scripts have been
added recently (Zen Cart
and PHPlist).
PHPLinks is now called
"Dew-NewPHPLinks" and has it's own homepage, forum, demo, add-ons, etc. Many
of the scripts have been upgraded to newer versions as of last night. Current
remote-hosting customers of ours can request these upgrades by simply opening
a ticket at the
Help
Desk. It is important to point out that when you do choose to upgrade,
you *may* lose any modules, add-ons, plugins, language files, themes, logos
or other modifications you have made to the script and will need to
reinstall/reimpliment them again after the upgrade so you may want to
back up these things before putting in a request. We will make a database
backup of your script prior to doing any upgrades to prevent and/or minimize
any loss of data. If we are hosting any of the following scripts for you,
you may request an upgrade...
* Dew-NewPHPLinks: 2.0.1.0a SEF -> 2.0.1.0b SEF
* Drupal: 4.5.1 -> 4.5.2
*
Gallery: 1.4.4-pl4 ->

* phpAdsNew: 2.0 -> 2.0.2

the tools and game
programming resources sections.
(Nov14, 2004) Spriteworks Developments is pleased
to announce our new remote PHP hosting service. Remote hosting is the only
type of hosting we do. Forums, blogs, shopping carts, image galleries, customer
support solutions and more. We install it, we host it, no domain required,
7 day free trial and no setup fee. Online demos are available. Each account
includes a 7 day free trial period, after which you are charged just $9.95
per month via convenient, recurrent billing. Billing starts automatically
after your 7-day free trial period expires unless you cancel it before that

from the same page). You do not need to have your own domain (or any type
of website) in order to use this service and the average setup time is
approximately 20 minutes. To begin your FREE 7-day trial period, simply select
a script from the menu that appears in the upper-left corner of each
page.
(Nov 07, 2004) Four new commercial products have
recently been added; (CSS NavBar v1.0,
RollMe! v1.0,
SuperScroller v1.0 and
SuperWin v1.0. A number of links have also been
fixed (mainly dealing with contact forms).
(Sep 01, 2004) Spriteworks Developments is pleased
to introduce it's line of CSS Widgets. CSS widgets are customizable scripts
written in CSS that can easily be integrated into your site to provide various
forms of functionality.
(Jun 08, 2004) We've just finished adding two
new Flash tutorials to compliment our hosting
service and for the convenience of our customers. Please watch the new
SmartFTP and Dreamweaver
MX movies (popcorn not included). Additionally, please have a look at
the variety of web templates now available (free)
with each hosting account. When your ready to sign up, there are
plans to suit just about any budget and if you
can't find what your looking for or need help, you are always welcome to
talk with a
real
person.
(Jun 06, 2004) We've just added a large number
of Flash tutorials to the hosting section in
order to give prospective clients a visual, step-by-step overview of various
processes involved in setting up and managing thier accounts. Also, MSN Messager
has just been added as one of our LIVE support channels and finally, we've
created a new CPanel demo that displays
in much greater detail, some of the features included with each account.
CPanel comes with a total of 27 different skins The demo shown is the
Fantastico_Xskin one. Two things we have planned for the immediate future
are (1) an expansion, reorganization and update of our current
knowledge base and (2) providing a web publishing
system to all of our hosting clients which will allow beginners to create
and publish web pages with a few simple clicks. The latter, when and if
available, will also include a variety of templates.
(Jun 01, 2004) Check out a few of our new
web-hosting features. We've just upgraded to CPanel
6, added Fantastico, better LIVE support and reduced the length of time it
takes to get your domain set up and running to just 30 minutes or less!.
(May 07, 2004) Spriteworks Developments will
be going on a two-week long advertizing blitz within the next few days. Some
modest updates to the site will follow as well as our normal routine
maintanance.
(Mar 09, 2004) After adding a number of new features
recently, the forums are
now completely finished. Thank you for your patience!. In the next few weeks
we hope to create and release an HTA generator. This type of software permits
users to create their own programs using simple HTML, CSS, Javascript and
other web languages. HTA programs have their own Windows-style GUI and can
do many (if not most) of the same things programs written in C++ and other
OOP languages can do but without the need to learn a complex new
language.
(Feb 16, 2004) The default emoticons in our forum
have been replaced with all new ones and we've added quite a few more.
Many thank's to one of our customers for pointing out that the color-picker
in JobSite v1.0 was missing. This prompted us to wonder if it was also missing
in any of the other scripts or even the online demonstrations. We discovered
that it was missing in both and so we immediately remedied the problem with
the online demonstrations and made a fix available
for anyone who has purchased JobSite v1.0, SoftSite v1.0, PetSite v1.0,
ScriptSite v1.0 or DateSite v1.0. To use the fix, simply extract the file
and copy "colors.html" to the main folder where the script is located on
your server. Finally, we discovered that the file which runs the admin section
of our online demonstration of the SoftSite Pro
script hadn't had the proper permissions set when we made our last server
move. This has also been corrected.
(Feb 13, 2004) SD-Graph
v1.0 has just been released. SD-Graph v1.0 is an easy-to-use bar graphing
system that allows you to create and display colorful bar charts with detailed
statistics.
(Feb 1, 2004) ScrollMe
v1.0 and SD-Book v1.0 have both been released.
The Sound Effects Library (available to registered users of our game-related
products) has just been completely revamped - including the elimination of
the cumbersome registration system. For the next day or two the focus will
be on updating Online Announcer v1.0 to include nice database-style month
files and also a significant increase in performance. Stay tuned.
(Jan 21, 2004) PhotoShare
v1.0 and Online Announcer v1.0 have just been
released.
(Jan 16, 2004) Visual
Web Template v1.0 has just been released. Our latest product provides
a powerful and flexible solution for the aspiring webmaster or seasoned novice.
You can read all about and examine the demo by clicking on the link
above.
(Jan 1, 2004) We've had several of our visitors
inform us that our site did not look well in popular Linux browsers such
as Mozilla. We have responded to this by adding cross-browser compatible
tags to our code and using fonts that render well in all browsers. While
we were correcting some of these problems, we've also decided to systematically
convert all of our images over to the patent-free PNG format which is not
only a popular format with the Linux crowd but also allows us to greatly
reduce the size of our images and therefore decrease the amount of time it
takes each page to load. Thank's for letting us know!. |
