Media Machine v1.0 (Help manual)


Media Machine v1.0 is a multi-purpose audio/video player capable of playing a large variety of file formats and comes with a playlist, graphic equalizer, music library, search feature, skins and more. Below is a description of the features found in Media Machine v1.0 (registered version only) and how to use them. File formats

This Media Machine demo only supports the .mid format (ie; "midis"). The registered version supports all of the following file formats...

mid, wav, wave, midi, avi, mpg, mpeg, cda, ivf, aif, aifc, aiff, asf, asx, wax, wma, wmv, wvx, wmp, wmx, m1v, mp2, mp3, mpa, mpe, mpv2, m3u, rmi & au.

Timer/song-name display

The timer/song-name display is located at the very top of the player. It looks like this...

The purpose of the timer is to display the number of seconds elapsed since the current song began playing. The purpose of the song-name display is to scroll the filename of the song or video being played.

Control panel

The control panel is located directly beneath the song-name display. It looks like this...

PREV (press this button to go back to the last song)

PLAY/PAUSE (press this button to play or pause the currently selected song or video)

NEXT (press this button to advance to the next song)

STOP (press this button to terminate the song or video being played)

SRCH (press this button to search for a song on your computer)

FWD (press this button to advance forward one song)

REV (press this button to go back to the last song played)

LOOP/NL (press this button to make the song or video play continuously)

Volume, tempo & balance

The volume, tempo and balance controls are located directly beneath the control panel. They look like this...

Volume (decreases or increases the volume)

Tempo (decreases or increases the tempo)

Balance (adjusts the balance between the left and right speakers)

Graphic equalizer

The graphic equalizer is located directly beneath the volume, tempo and balance controls. It look like this...

There is no function to the graphic equalizer other than to provide a "visual" and keep beat to whatever song happens to be playing at the time. The graphic equalizer is only available in the registered version of Media Machine v1.0.

Music library

The  music library is located directly beneath the graphic equalizer. It look like this...

The music library contains music links in 30 different categories. To access the songs from within a category, simply "drop" the menu down, select a category by clicking on it and finally, click on the CD icon (to the right of the music library). This will bring up a new window so that you can begin downloading songs from the category you have just selected. Please note: this feature requires you to be connected to the internet. The music library is only available in the registered version of Media Machine v1.0.

Playlist

The playlist button is located to the right of the music library. It look like this...

Simply click on this button to bring up the playlist (shown below).

The playlist permits you to organize your favorite songs. You can advance individual song up the playlist by clicking on the red up or down arrows depending on the order you want the songs to appear. You can also clear songs from the list or sample them by clicking on the clear or play buttons. The playlist feature is only available in the registered version of Media Machine v1.0.

Button links

The button links are located at the very bottom of the player. They look like this...

CHAT (visit our chatroom and introduce yourself or just hang out)

BBS (explore our forums and post a message or two while your there)

MAIL (get a free, feature-rich email account)

AUCT (visit our online auction. Buy, sell, browse or even create your own personal homepage online!.

Video player

The video player is located to the right of the sound player section. It look like this...

To select a video, simply click on the browse button. Once you've done this, click on the play button in the control panel. The video feature is only available in the registered version of Media Machine v1.0.
